  • The most common reasons for decline is a change in your billing address/zip associated with the card on file, insufficient funds, or card expiration. If none of these apply to you, your credit/debit card may have online purchase restrictions. Please contact your credit card company to let them know the purchase you would like to make is valid. Certain credit/debit cards do not allow for recurring subscription billing, and therefore, may be denied. We recommend adding a different card.

Classes

  • We recommend new members start by watching our “membership tour” videos and taking our “intro week” classes. These can be found under the carousel titled “New to Loa? Start Here!”

  • At Loa Movement, we’re focused on building strength for life and because of this, we don’t categorize our classes by level (beginner, intermediate, advanced). Instead, we encourage you to choose a weight that is challenging for YOU! The goal is to take each muscle group to fatigue (meaning close to the point of muscle failure, where you feel like you can’t perform another rep). This ensures that you’ll make gains in muscle strength and hypertrophy. You can read more about this in Dr. Lauren’s blog post HERE. To keep classes challenging, we encourage you to move up in weight once our 1-minute sets no longer bring you to muscle fatigue.

  • Yes, of course you can! Loa Movement’s on-demand library has over 400 different full-length videos, so there’s plenty to choose from. However, Dr. Lauren carefully plans each week to target all your muscle groups and allow adequate rest. This programming consists of 5 classes a week, shown in the very first carousel of the on-demand library.

If you want to just take classes 3 days a week, we recommend taking our 3 Burn Classes (Lower Body Burn, Upper Body Burn, and Full Burn) to ensure you hit each muscle group at least once.

  • The Loa programming is strategically designed to target all your muscle groups 1-2 times a week. This is reflected in the 5-days per week programming. You can also take classes 3 days per week and hit all your muscle groups once by taking Lower Body Burn, Upper Body Burn, and Full Burn. Every Sunday we release the next week of programming that includes brand new classes.

  • Yes! In April 2024 we launched #LoaLIVEwith our first livestream class. We’re planning more, so be sure to keep an eye on our social media and website for more information.

  • Our program is designed to minimize risk of injury through careful exercise selection and expert cuing. Some muscle fatigue and soreness can be expected. If you experience pain during a workout, stop the movement. Try swapping for a different movement that targets the same muscle group (as listed in the show notes of each class). Although Loa Movement has licensed healthcare providers on the team, they are legally unable to give medical advice through the Loa Movement platform. Please consult your doctor for specific treatment recommendations.

  • While many of the instructors at Loa Movement are Doctors of Physical Therapy, the classes themselves do not take the place of physical therapy. If you have an injury, please consult a healthcare provider before taking a class.

  • If you’re short on time but still want to fit in some movement, check out our Quick Burn classes. These classes are under 20 minutes, but pack a punch!

  • We’ve designed our classes so you need minimal equipment: a few sets of weights, resistance bands, and a few other small items. Check out our Equipment Page for a detailed list.
